3 years ago, more specifically July of 2007 a US army helicopter crew engaged open fire on a news crew and guards. As I view the footage I was sickened, it is a disgrace that it took 3 years for this video to be released and brought up by the media.
There were a dozen people killed and they were innocent, including two reuter news staff, and two children, yes children were killed as well.
The soldiers who did this simply said that the kids shouldn't have been there, and why were they there. To engage open fire on people just walking in the street is horrible, and the permission granted was not even throughly checked! This could've been prevented, and the lives of over a dozen saved. The camera on the helicopter filmed it all and the two kids could be seen, and etc.
Now I know some people may think well you have to consider safety of the soldiers, and what they have gone through in the war. No, that is no excuse for the murder of the people, I personally believe that if the people walking were white they wouldn't have shot them, but they were all Iraqi and the soldiers ASSUMED..... People hide and are hidden from life as it is, but when reality is revealed there is no way to hold back what is shown.

Sometimes I think it should be a rule of war that you have to see somebody up close and get to know him before you can shoot him. ~M*A*S*H, Colonel Potter
Never think that war, no matter how necessary, nor how justified, is not a crime. ~Ernest Hemingway
